What comes to your mind when you hear the phrase “Information Technology”? For sure, computer is the first thing which comes out to your mind. What about the phrase, “College of Information Technology in UNO-R”?

Well, being an Information Technology student of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, I can say that the College of Information Technology in UNO-R is a community whose members are looking forward for one goal – to make a futuristic world. It is a community whose members have their own uniqueness. They have the determination and courage to build programs and systems for the future generation. Despite of stressful and pressure-making tasks and very expensive tuition fee, they can still manage to smile. It has a high-skilled faculty members and students who are very willing to learn. It also has high quality facilities and high-level subjects like Enterprise Resource Planning and Cisco Networking Academy which are expensive but can help a lot in students’ future.

What makes the life of College of IT in UNO-R good is that, it makes its entire members bond with each other. It has lots of happy moments. Every year, it celebrates its IT Days, Christmas Party and Sports fest which develops the rapport and camaraderie between its members. Every semester, it also gives recognition to the Dean’s Listees for their diligence in their studies.

There are also some subjects in this community like Enterprise Resource Planning which gives certificate of completion.

Studying as an IT student here in UNO-R makes me happy. I knew during my high school days that this is the course that I will be taking because I want to make the world futuristic and innovative. Because of this community, I have gained more friends and I was able to develop my self confidence. I became more determined and diligent to my studies because my family spends a lot of money and because of that, I give them higher grades and it makes them happy.
